An Arkwright Engineering Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship of its kind in the United Kingdom, designed to inspire students to pursue their dreams and change the world as future engineers. The Scholarships are awarded to deserving students after a rigorous selection process, and they help them complete their A levels, Scottish Highers, or equivalent qualifications.

Every Scholarship is funded by a commercial enterprise, trade association, university, professional institution, armed service, government organisation, religious organisation, charity trust, or individual donor. This means that assistance is provided in a variety of ways, such as valuable hands-on job experience, assistance with your curriculum project, and a personal mentor who can assist you with elements of your studies and career planning.

Before you can apply for a Scholarship, your school must be partnered with Arkwright Engineering Scholarships, and you must be within a specified age bracket. If your school isn't already partnered, have your instructor fill out the school partnership form. Partnership is quick, easy, and completely free. After submitting your online application, you will take the Arkwright aptitude exam at your school. If you pass the exam, you will be invited to the interview stage. If you pass the 20-minute interview, you will be matched to an available Scholarship.

Arkwright Engineering Scholarships are awarded to the "brightest and best" students who have a strong desire to excel in their future studies and careers:

* You must have a strong ambition to work as a leader in the engineering profession in the future.

* You must be in the school year in which you will take your GCSEs, Scottish National 5s, International Baccalaureate Standards, BTEC level 2s, or equivalent exams when you apply.

* You must plan to attend school or a Sixth Form College for two years to study A levels, BTEC level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma, Scottish Highers / Advanced Highers, or the International Baccalaureate higher level.

Unless pursuing a BTEC Level 3 in engineering, applicants must commit to studying one of the following topics at the A or Advanced Higher level: Engineering Science, Maths, Physics, and Computer Science.
