Competitive entrance tests for MBA and MS programmes overseas

You've probably heard of the GRE, GMAT, SAT, ACT, and other examinations. But which of them should you pursue, MBA or MS study abroad? Every year, thousands of hopefuls travel to various regions of the world to complete their higher education. While the study abroad scene has expanded dramatically to accommodate students of diverse academic backgrounds and interests, some academic standards must still be maintained. To study overseas, you must first pass a series of competitive exams. Good results in competitive ‘study abroad' exams can also help you earn scholarships and other forms of financial aid, which is important for the majority of candidates.

The GRE, GMAT, SAT, MCAT, and LSAT are some of the most popular and essential foreign entry examinations for studying abroad. While there are subject-specific exams, the majority of these assessments are necessary for entrance to universities and colleges around the world. At occasion, a combination of one or more of these and other tests/examinations specific to that country and its education system may be required. Aside from these competitive exams, most European countries will need students to demonstrate their command of the English language. You must pass one of the common language tests, such as IELTS or TOEFL. IELTS is recognized in the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and Canada and the results are valid for a period of two years.

TOEFL is widely used by students wishing to study in Germany. Along with the language test, you will need to pass the GRE or GMAT, with the GMAT being preferable for an MBA programme. A score of over 700 would be desirable; nevertheless, a high GMAT score does not ensure admission to universities abroad. Some colleges may even consider skipping the GMAT requirement if the applicant has sufficient professional experience.

Competitive exams to study MS abroad

Language assessments are usually necessary for MS programmes as well. The expected score range for an undergraduate course may be higher. GRE scores are necessary for MS studies in graduate schools abroad. GRE scores are accepted by practically all of the world's leading colleges.

As you prepare for these difficult exams, keep in mind that excellent test results are not the only need for admission to your dream university. However, it will undoubtedly offer you an advantage. So give it your best.
