Fully funded Gibraltar Scholarships - 2022
Gibraltar, a British overseas territory, might not be your ultimate study destination. But, if you want to achieve your higher education from a place that is affiliated with Great Britain, the Gibraltar should be the place you need to look into.
Europa Scholarships:
The Europa scholarships of the University of Gibraltar are pretty generous and highly competitive. The value of the scholarship is £6,000 (at most) and is given to those who have excellent previous academic records. All the international students are encouraged to apply to this. The students can also avail of this scholarship in the subsequent years of their study as these are renewable provided that the student maintains a satisfactory level of academic progress.
Europa Bursaries:
Unlike Europa scholarships, Europa bursaries are awarded based on participation in extracurricular activities such as volunteer work, leadership demonstration, or community service. The worth of the award is a maximum of £3,000. It is open for students of all nationalities and is renewable on the basis of awardees’ progress in their respective degree programs.
Parasol Scholarships:
Funded by the Parasol Foundation Trust, the Parasol Scholarship is only open for Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) students. The scholarship covers the educational expenses of the grantees in full (for three years of study). In some cases, the scholarship also covers a portion of the scholarship holders' living expenses. The accommodation subsidy is limited to £5,000 per year and is granted on a case-by-case basis.
Marie Sklodowska Curie Scholarships:
Available for the Fellowship programs of the University of Gibraltar, the Marie Sklodowska Curie funding is offered to researchers. The fellowship pays an annual salary of €81,800, covers training costs, and provides scholarship holders with a family and travel allowance. Applicants must have a PhD or extensive research experience in their respective fields.
Commonwealth Scholarships:
The commonwealth scholarship is for those students who belong to a listed developing country or to a country that is a member of the British Commonwealth. The scholarship will cover the cost of a research-based programme at the University of Gibraltar. The benefits include; tuition fee waiver, a round trip plane ticket per year to visit the country of residence, and a monthly stipend that will be given for the full three years of study.
