HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE ACADEMIC IELTS?
IELTS, TOEFL, CPE, and CAE all have one thing in common: they are all letters that you must pass if you are a foreign student who want to study at an English-speaking university. This can be stressful, time-consuming, and costly. However, it is an unavoidable obligation, and disputing the exam will not get you anywhere, so the best thing to do is accept it and try to make the best of it.
* Understand and follow the rules
In truth, you're getting ready for a specific examination system. As a result, understanding the rules is critical. Learn about the four parts' content (listening, reading, writing, and speaking), the various tasks for answering the questions, the topic areas (for example, policy, the arts, and education), and the assessment standards (what the examiners are looking for). In a nutshell, you should be well aware of what you must do and how the exam will be conducted. Only then will you be able to thoroughly prepare and study.
* Include English in your everyday life
Read English-language books and articles, for example, or watch the news. While it comes to news, not only will it likely increase your vocabulary, grammar, and listening skills, but it will also be educational and give you with arguments and examples for your speaking portion when discussing social phenomena and global issues. Furthermore, it's probable that your speaking topic will be related to the media or the news.
There are no justifications. Even if you are tired of studying and don't want to, incorporating English into your daily life can and should be fun, especially if you plan to study abroad and use English all day long in the near future. So don't think of it as exam preparation or as an unpleasant task to complete. Do things that are enjoyable, but only in English. Watch English-language videos, movies, or series (making notes and studying the new terms and phrases afterwards is very helpful), meet with a friend and pretend to be English or American tourists in your hometown, chat with a cute English-speaking guy or girl online, maintain friendships with people you've met abroad through writing or skyping, and try to understand the lyrics of your favourite songs. You don't even need to be that inventive; simply do what you've always done but now in English.
