Croatia has become an increasingly popular destination worldwide for international students. There are few world-class universities in Croatia which offer top notch education. At the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels, the Croatian higher education institution provides a wide variety of courses. Croatian credentials are recognized and approved worldwide. Other than that, below are a few other reasons to study in Croatia.

Croatia is a peaceful country relative to other countries. You can walk freely in the city or in the countryside, day or night. Security is often pointed out by foreign citizens who come to live in Croatia as one of the things they appreciate most in that country. Croatia also provides economic and political stability, making it an ideal study spot.

The cities of Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Koprivnica, Samobor, and Varaždin have the highest quality of life on the list of major cities. Many cities are working on hundreds of initiatives in all sectors of society, from education, culture and sports to demographic policy, increasing the quality of life of their people. Zagreb, however, is the best student city in Croatia if we look at the quality of life, even though more and more cities are trying to lift the bar in recent years.

Croatia has better and better tourist results last year. While more than 300 thousand people were unemployed 10 years ago, today the situation is different. In Croatia, over 50,000 foreigners work last year. In Croatia, many construction workers are migrant workers as well. The Government of the Republic of Croatia has been allowing exchange students to work under student contracts since 2020. The students' minimum hourly pay is about 25 Kuna.

Croatia is considered to be relatively cheap to live in, compared with other European countries. In Croatia, the largest expense is accommodation. The monthly rentals vary markedly from the place of residence. Prices are, however, much lower than in the European Union's western countries. Last but not least, Croatia and the rest of Europe are also well linked. You can fly from Croatian cities to nearly all European destinations during the year. Also, there are more and more direct flights to destinations outside Europe with the growth of tourism.
