Education is recognized at the highest political level in Europe as it is important for the improvement of people's lives, job development, economic growth, social equality and the strengthening of European identity. Social policies are a series of complementary public policies aimed at maintaining social security and welfare as a moral and political prerequisite, but also as an economic necessity, creating greater social cohesion and opportunities, and therefore greater social stability and economic growth opportunities. The economic effect of social policies is important to be aware of, as this is critical for organizations for promoting a strong social model that will support society as a whole in the long term. European social policies are aimed at promoting employment, improving living and working conditions, ensuring sufficient social security and fighting social exclusion. In general, these policies are the competence and responsibility of Member States, but the European Pillar of Social Rights, endorsed in November 2017, gives new impetus to European-level initiatives that empowers about the student life. You won't usually see students struggling to juggle two or more part-time jobs or talking about their tens of thousands of dollars in student debt and also they aren't planning on doing more than one job or side-hustling to make their payments after school either.
There are many different surprises, challenges and life-changing experiences to studying abroad, which offer you the opportunity to extend your understanding of culture and human nature. Thus the social policy brings the social dimension together with the objectives of growth and competitiveness. In addition to the demanding academic programme, be active in a wide range of student events. The sharing of different perspectives is an important part of your learning process, so make your life with a great course environment exciting and inspiring.
