THE CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIPS
Chevening Scholarships are a global scholarship programme backed by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organizations and sponsored by the UK government. Outstanding scholars with leadership potential from around the world can apply for awards to study for a master's degree in any topic at any UK university. These scholarships are given out by the UK government to students who have excelled academically and demonstrated high leadership potential. The scholarship recipients are hand-picked by British embassies around the world. Future decision-makers will have the opportunity to advance academically, build professional networks; learn about British culture, and much more.
The scholarship programme provides financial help for students to pursue a one-year Master's degree at any of the UK's top universities, with over 1,500 Chevening Scholarships available each academic year. To be considered for a Chevening Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
* Be a citizen of a nation that is eligible for the Ch evening.
* After your scholarship has finished, you must return to your home country for a minimum of two years.
* By the time you submit your application, you must have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will allow you to enrol in a postgraduate programme at a UK university. In the United Kingdom, this is normally equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree, though it may differ based on your study and university of choice.
* Have worked for at least two years (equal to 2,800 hours).
* By July 15, 2021, you must have applied to three different approved UK university courses and obtained an unconditional offer from one of them.
