WHY SHOULD YOU GET A MASTER’S DEGREE NOW?
You face an important question as you approach the end of your Bachelor degree programme: should you get a Master Degree? And if yes, there are many good reasons for the study options to build your career better.
* A Master's degree makes qualifying for the jobs that you want much easier and increases long-term job security: In an economic downturn, this is particularly true. First, it is easier to compete without a Master's degree, and second, only bachelors may be the first to be released when times are difficult.
* With a master's degree, you will get more money: You can expect a higher salary with the additional qualifications and the additional responsibilities compared to a degree.
* It is harder to get back into the 'groove of learning' after a longer break from university: There are therefore several more selective universities that prefer students with not too much experience in continental Europe (unlike Ireland or the United Kingdom).
* Consider one-year Masters if you do not wish to spend 2 years break: Sometimes they are not sufficient to get to doctoral programmes, but employers do not generally see a large distinction and value them just as much.
* Some professions will require professional students to graduate: Some careers will actually require professionals to complete their Master's degree to qualify as a professional or get a license to practice the trade.
* If you want to do a doctorate later, a master's degree is correct (and often required) after your degree: It will be a lot difficult even if you can do a PhD without a master's degree.
You'll earn more money with a Master's degree. This is a fact that cannot be denied. You will be promoted and eventually earn significantly more, while maintaining higher safety at work. Thus, while it can be a costly investment to get a Masters, it usually pays off over time. Do not give up, as there are many possibilities for obtaining a master’s and you will find one that best suits you if this option seems attractive to you!
