Brits in Germany: What’s your experience of getting a residence document?

British nationals in Germany who were legally resident before the Brexit transition period ended have to apply for a residence card before June 30th this year. Germany passed a law in 2020 that gives UK nationals living in the country before the end of 2020 a secure residence status. However, to get the new residence document you have to report to your local immigration office (Ausländerbehörde) by June 30th 2021.
