Documents needed for Ireland's student visa
Ireland is known for its welcoming people and a very healthy climate, and has also been identified among the top countries where students are very happy with their experience studying abroad. Let's look at the paperwork needed to get a student visa in Ireland.
- Two recent passport-sized photos of color
- Passport and all previous passports in full
- Signed approval letter containing your full contact information (specifying the reason for your arrival in Ireland)
- Letter of acceptance from the university / college
- Evidence of any gaps in your educational background

- Copies of all college certificates, test grades for university studies

When and where to apply in Ireland for study visa?
- Up to three months before your arrival in Ireland, you can apply for a study visa.
- You just need to complete an electronic application form on the Irish Naturalization and Immigration Service website to register.
- Follow the instructions and submit your supporting documentation after completing the online application process.
- As part of the verification process, you will be asked to include your Biometrics information.
- The acceptance period depends on the country in which you make the request. Generally, you can get a reply within four to eight weeks from the date your application is registered with the Visa Office / Embassy / Consulate. It is best not to purchase travel tickets until you receive an official reply from the Irish Consulate.
In order to get a student immigration permit, international students must meet minimum English language requirements. You will be required to provide proof of English language skills through an internationally recognized certificate issued within two years of the course's expected start date to be considered valid. These are the basic documents for studying abroad in Europe but the list may differ as per nationality and every country requirement.
