The European Union on Monday, August 22, announced that over 200 young Nigerians have received postgraduate scholarships to study in top European universities under its flagship education programme, Erasmus+.

The figure represents a large increase in the number of Nigerian students who benefited from the scholarship, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.

As a result of these figures, Nigeria is listed second among the countries with the highest number of students selected for this prestigious program in 2022, coming only behind Pakistan.
