International Visa for Studying in Croatia

Croatia has a long history of educating its entire people. International students are fairly rare though, largely because of the language barrier. Nevertheless, this is evolving with the advent of English-speaking services serving overseas students. It is particularly valid for medicine programs, as in many parts of Eastern Europe, which are common with foreign students from around the world pursuing a more accessible and easily attainable medical education.

For study in Croatia, all foreign students who are not nationals of a Member State of the European Union are expected to apply for a long-term Student Visa. Just before departure should you apply for your visa from the Croatian Consulate or Embassy which has authority in your country of permanent residence.  Visa processing will take some time so make sure to prepare accordingly. To get a student visa, you will first have a bid from a University in Hungary. Documents required when applying for a visa:

Students from within the European Union are permitted to remain in Croatia for up to 90 days without a visa during the six-month period. You will need to obtain a First Temporary Stay Permit for stays longer than this before landing in Croatia. You are applying for a nearest diplomatic mission or consulate with the certificates and proofs listed above.

After you have arrived in Croatia, you will need to return within one month to the Central Police Station to validate your permission to stay. This will include a copy of the passport, and the lodging form must be filled in. Therefore, keep all this detail in mind when applying for a Croatian visa.
