On the Occasion of the Women's Week in Diplomacy, Minister Ivan Korcok Expresses his Appreciation for Five Exceptional Slovak Women
On the occasion of the International Women's Day and the opening of a series of events dedicated to the role of women in international cooperation, entitled the Women's Week in Diplomacy, Ivan Korcok, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, granted ministry awards to five outstanding women who have made a significant contribution to the development of international cooperation and the spread of Slovakia’s good name abroad.
The Medal of Merit for Slovak Diplomacy was received by Ambassador Maria Krasnohorska, who has worked in the diplomatic service of the Slovak Republic since its establishment. During her time working for the diplomatic service, she was one of the most experienced and prominent figures in Slovak diplomacy. She represented the Slovak Republic in the positions of Ambassador, the Permanent representative of the Slovak Republic to the United Nations in Geneva, France, and Italy. At the headquarters, she held several management positions, the agenda of which also included the activities of the relevant international organizations in the area of strengthening gender equality, the position of women in society and improving their quality of life.
