Professors and students from the GBE department participated in Tuzla Brain Week

Professors and students from the Department of Genetics and Bioengineering last week participated in Tuzla Brain Week. This online conference was held from March 29 to 31, and this year's theme was "A journey to the center of the brain", while the goal was to encourage research in the field of neurology, neurosurgery or psychiatry. In addition to the fact that it is a congress, Tuzla Brain Week has a concept that supports and works on educating all citizens in Tuzla, including all age groups.
The first day of the Tuzla Brain Week conference was reserved for the opening ceremony and four plenary lectures performed by top doctors in the field of neuroscience. On the second day, a session of scientific research was held, where students from all over BiH and beyond competed in the presentation of papers and had the opportunity to publish a summary of their own research in the field of neurology, neurosurgery and other fields. Among the received and published abstracts in the "Book of Abstracts", the work of our 3rd year student of the Department of Genetics and Bioengineering, Dženan Kova?i? entitled "Possible role of molecular mimicry in the central nervous system autoimmunity mediated by human Beta coronaviruses" found its place.
