Slovakia Updates Its Quarantine Rules for Arrivals – Expands List of Safe Countries
The Slovak government has updated its list of countries considered as safe, in line with a recommendation of the Public Health Office of the Slovak Republic.
According to the new measure since July 6, 2020, in the morning, travellers who enter the territory of the Slovak Republic, must be self-isolated, until they receive a negative result of the RT-PCR test for COVID-19 if during the previous 14 days.
“The person is obliged to undergo a laboratory diagnosis of COVID-19 at the earliest on the fifth day of isolation in the home environment. During the period of domestic isolation according to the previous sentence, this is also ordered for persons living with her in the same household,” a notice of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic explains.
The notice also explains that all children under the age of 3 will not be obliged to undergo laboratory tests for COVID-19, while quarantine will end for them at the same time with the persons living with same in the same household. The list of safe countries is regularly updated in compliance with epidemiologists.
