Sote Academy studies at the Open University in the spring semester 2022 - also free courses

With Sote Academy's studies, you can acquire new skills for the multidisciplinary and changing needs of social and health services and education services.
The Sote Academy of the University of Turku, together with the faculties, implements a multidisciplinary study unit in the field of social, health and education. The studies deal with the actors and structure of the civil society field, as well as the coordination and change of services.
Individual courses can be completed in the spring semester of 2022. The studies are offered to degree students and, in addition, as Open University education to anyone interested, regardless of basic education. Some of the courses are carried out according to a common schedule, some of the courses are available throughout the spring as MOOC online courses that are open to all and can be studied independently. MOOCs can also be completed by registering for studies at an open university. Some of the studies are free of charge; MOOCs are mainly paid (12 e or 15 e / cr).
Free studies include a new Introduction to Biosafety expert lecture series offered by the Open University. Lectures can be followed online 14.1. from. Free of charge are also e.g. Coordination and multidisciplinary services in the social and health fields 10.1. from, Aging population, health and services 3.3. and Social Law and Meeting the Survivor online.
The latest MOOC courses include the Young Carers course. The Young Caregivers 1 course (2 cr) deals with a family member's serious illness, disability or substance abuse as a childhood experience. The course can be studied independently online from the beginning of January. After that, it is possible to complete the Young Caregivers 2: Child Development Environments and Family Services (1 cr) and Young Caregivers 3: Child and Family Support (2 cr) courses.
The offer also includes many other MOOC sessions such as The Basics of Multi-Functional Child and Family Service Competence, The Basics of Child Welfare: What Do I Need to Know About Multi-Functional Child Welfare? and Nature-based well-being.
