Things to know regarding student visa to Croatia
International students who want to study in Croatia must get an entry visa- Visa C. Applicants must fill in the visa application form (Visa C) and apply it to the Croatian Embassy or Consulate at their place of residence along with the necessary documents. The application can be submitted by candidates via email or in person.
Following documents must be submitted:
- A valid travel document and a photograph in colour
- Evidence of medical travel insurance
- Receipt of visa fee payment
- Documentation indicating the intention of remaining in Croatia
- Accommodation proof
- Proof of adequate funds during a stay in Croatia
- If EU/Swiss citizens are staying in Croatia for less than 90 days, they are not allowed to register their address or apply for a residency permit in that situation.
- Student residence permits are required for EU nationals who wish to study in Croatia for more than 90 days.
- If non-EU people are staying in Croatia for less than 90 days, they must register their address within 48 hours at the Foreigners' Office of the Police Administration Office concerned.
- If non-EU citizens stay in Croatia for more than 90 days, they must, in this case, apply for a temporary study permit within 90 days of entering the country.
For students wishing to study in Croatia, foreign students must apply for a temporary residence permit if their stay in Croatia is longer than 90 days.

International students are expected to fill out an application for a residence permit and apply it either to the Croatian embassy or consulate in their home country or to the relevant police station/department upon arrival in Croatia. A temporary student residence permit is given for a term of 1 year or for the remainder of the entire academic year.
