Ways to Extend a Schengen Visa while being within Schengen Area?

One of the key worries of those visiting Europe at the end of the validity of their Schengen visa is whether there is a way for them to prolong their stay in Europe. If you are a traveler wanting to see more of Europe, a business person with an unexpected business to do after the expiry of their visa, or a patient seeking medical attention in one or more Schengen Zone Member States who requires medical treatment to be continued, If you extend it, you will not be able to remain in Europe after the expiry of the Schengen visa.

Under the Schengen rules, a short-stay visa for Europe can be issued within a six-month period for a maximum of three months. Nevertheless, 90 days are not enough for many foreigners, in particular for travellers who want to visit all 28 Schengen Member States, each of which is a fascinating attraction with a rich culture and traditions, so that those travellers do not want to leave. Regulation (EC) No 810/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 July 2009 creating a Community Code on Visas (Journal of Laws of the EU 2009 L243/1) provides for the extension of the Schengen short-stay visa. However, if you don't have a good justification as the basis for your submission, you will have very little chance of having one.

If you would like to extend your visa and remain in the Schengen Zone for a longer period of time, you can start planning your application, which varies from the standard Schengen visa application. The very first thing you have to do is decide the reason why you want to apply for a renewal of the Schengen visa. Then you can move to the other steps after finding that out. It is really critical that you apply on time, which is before your visa expires. If you apply after your visa expires, or a day later, you will, whatever your excuses, be deported for overstaying your visa. Therefore, make sure to apply for your new Schengen short-stay visa at least one week before it expires.

After you find out the reasons for your request, where and when to apply, switch to the other stage, which is collecting the necessary documents. Unlike the documents needed for the Schengen visa to be collected, you need to request far fewer documents for the visa extension. You may have to pay a fee if you have already extended your visa already, but you really need to extend it again, for whatever reason. The cost of the second extension fee for the Schengen visa depends on the applicant's age.
